This new Ferrari super-car is super duper fast, powered by a monstrous 6.5 liter V12 engine that boasts 789 horsepower and 530 pound-feet of torque.
The new Ferrari 812 Superfast was just unveiled in the latest Geneva International Motor Show. This car is a cool mix of the old traditional and the new young technology age.
The old comes in the form of the inspiration, and this new supercar is said to be based on the Ferrari Daytone, better known as the Ferrari 365 GTB/4. This oldie was a two-seat grand tourer with a Colombo V12 bored out to 4.4L, produced by Ferrari from 1968 to 1973.
Ferrariās engineers tweaked this new 812 Superfast, specially the intake and combustion system, to maximize the amout of air flow into the engine, which by chance also set a record of 588 kw at 8,500 rpm. This blow-minding power blasts the 812 Superfast from 0 to 62 mph in an amazing 2.9 seconds!
To fully enjoy this powerful redesigned engine, Ferrari focused on improving efficiency through upping its geometry. The new Ferrari is beautifully defined by a modern aerodynamic style, front to back.
