Bugatti Veyron Super Sport Pur Blanc hits 246.4 MPH on public road (video)

Actually a public road, but closed for this event.  But yes, this Veyron does hit 246 MPH.  The sound of the air when it passes – this car is amazing.  Almost sounds more like a fighter jet than a car.

Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat spied in disguise

Last week, we reported that Dodge was officially working on a Hellcat version of the Charger, now we have further proof.

We can observe a hood scoop, ducktail spoiler, and the same brakes from the supercharged Challenger

We are glad that Mopar is taking the title for ‘world’s most powerful sedan’.  We can’t wait for an official press release from SRT.

2016 Cadillac CTS-V spied testing on the Nürburgring

It appears as if this new CTS-V will actually be getting the Supercharged LT4 out of the C7 Z06.  We’re guessing that with a supercharger pulley and a modest tune the LT4 will easily crack 700 HP.

We are glad they kept with tradition here. We were afraid GM would put a more docile engine in the CTS-V but this is very promising.  We expect this new CTS-V to be more expensive then the previous generation, considering the ATS is now under it.

Inside an 8-second Corvette ZR1 (Video)

We love supercharged Corvettes, and we especially love the legendary ZR1.  What’s not to love?  From the factory, it’s a 3,400 lb car with nearly 650HP from the factory – and it’s built for one purpose: flat out speed.

With that said, we can’t imagine how surreal it must be to take this modified 8-second HP ZR1 out for a spin.  You would think a pilot’s license would be a prerequisite to drive this car around.

‘Murica.

Does the SRT Hellcat live up to the hype? Watch these guys try to put the power down, and fail

The Fast Lane recently had a go with the new SRT Hellcat, and the results were somewhat disappointing.

0-60 in 4.7 seconds?  That is the best they could do?  In all fairness, these ‘tests’ were done at an un-prepped racetrack in Portland, OR – and we are fairly certain that on the street the new Hellcat could pull a sub 4-second 0-60 time.  But this video does beg the question: why give a car 707 HP, but only equip it with 275mm wide rear tires?

We have faith in Mopar, and well – you just can’t be too disappointed at the end of the day in a car that can rotate the earth under full throttle.

Here is an in-depth look Lamborghini Huracan (Video)

Enter, the mini-Aventador.  Just as the Gallardo retires off into the sunset, the new Lamborghini Huracan boldly steps in and takes it’s place

Schmee150 has gotten ahold of Lamborghini’s latest creation, the Huracan.  He runs the Italian workhorse through it’s paces, and gives us an in-depth look at this car, inside and out.  This new Lambo sounds amazing, as it should – we just can’t wait to see what Underground Racing can do with one, especially considering their success and reputation with the Gallardo.

2016 Ford Mustang SVT spied again testing on the Nürburgring, and it sounds pissed off

So here is the 2016 Ford Mustang SVT / GT350 undergoing testing on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

In the video, it appears as if Ford is testing two separate high performance Mustangs.  Our assumption is that they are both 5.0 coyote based, but the ‘GT350R’ model may have the rumored flat plane crankshaft, which would account for the unique engine note.

Regardless, we are excited to see what Ford is bringing to the table when they officially announce these cars, presumably in November of this year at the Los Angeles Auto Show

Hypercar Drag Race

Ok, so this video proves that great financial wealth doesn’t equate to knowing how to properly launch a car, but this video is entertaining nonetheless.

We question the results of some of these racings, but we will never complain watching supercars being driven the way they were intended to: flat out.

Here is the 2016 SVT Mustang GT350

Our friends at Rampant Renders have put together a series of 2016 SVT GT350 renders for our viewing pleasure.  This time, we see variations of Red and Black, and it gives us a great idea of what to expect when this car is officially unveiled (hopefully) in the next few months.  As you know, the SVT GT350 prototype was recently caught testing at Nurburgring, and what we saw and heard from that testing video was interesting, because it more or less confirmed the validity of the 5.0 flat plane crank (FPC).  It appears Ford has been taking notes from the likes of Ferrari in regards to building a high revving V8.

We hope to have official specs from Ford soon.  Until then, enjoy these new renders.
