“Famed Mustang tuner Roush has finally gotten its hands on the latest pony car, the redesigned 2015 Ford Mustang, and gave us a glimpse at this modified ‘Stang last week in Detroit. The Roush-modified 2015 Ford Mustang will officially debut later this year, but we have early specs on the various states of tune that will be offered, including Stage 1 and Stage 2 performance kits.

Styling has always been a big part of the Roush upgrade strategy, and this new version is no exception. All Roush versions of the 2015 Ford Mustang come with an in-house body kit that take the car’s looks in a much more aggressive direction. Gone are the rounded curves of the stock Mustang’s front end, as Roush has replaced the entire grille and front fascia with its own sculpted bits that actually extend the nose a few inches further forward than in the stock car. There are also new hood vents and an optional hood scoop, in addition to rear fender vents and a redesigned rear fascia and rear spoiler that make for a significantly cleaner appearance out back.

These looks aren’t just for show, as Roush claims that certain pieces like the front splitter, rear diffuser, and various vents up front actually improve the car’s aerodynamic performance. The custom Roush 20-inch cast wheels are also slightly lighter than stock, and are wrapped in Cooper RS3 tires for extra grip. Roush models equipped with the Mustang’s factory performance package also include upgraded brake pads and rotors for the Brembo six-piston calipers, and Roush will also offer two types of adjustable coil-over shocks.

Like it has with previous Mustangs, Roush will offer various levels of tuning kits, including RS, RS1, and RS2 for the new car. But given the 2015 Ford Mustang’s expanded engine lineup, the structure is a bit different. RS kits are for Mustang V-6 models; RS1 kits focus on the turbocharged Mustang EcoBoost; RS2 uses the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V-8; and we can assume that, like with previous Roush Mustangs, RS3 adds a supercharger to the V-8 with various stages of power available.

We saw an RS2 car up close and were impressed with how Roush’s appearance kit looks in the flesh. Although we can’t speak to how it drives yet, hearing the raucous sound of the Roush’s new active exhaust system on this RS2 V-8 car certainly grabbed our attention.

Expect to hear more details on these various levels of tunelater on, as well as pricing for these various upgrades. Roush will also offer nearly all of its parts as stand-alone options for Mustang owners who want to focus on certain elements of their cars like wheels, brakes, or appearance. Stay tuned for more information about the Roush 2015 Ford Mustang as the tuner readies its special Mustang for its debut later this year.. ”

Roush Racing has been working on a high performance Mustang for some time.  Just a few weeks ago, they gave us a teaser image of the their new creation (bottom of page).

Today, these new photos hit the web, showing us how aggressive the new S550 body style can be with the right touch.  More importantly, we are hoping for big horsepower out of this new Roush ‘stang.  We have heard rumblings of a ‘Turbo Stage 3’ flagship Roush, which would take the place of the older supercharged models, but time will tell.

We are still a few months away from seeing the C7 Z06 on public roads, but fortunately we have a new video to wet our appetite.

Behold, the 2015 Corvette Z06 gettin’ it on at the ‘ring.

Granted, it doesn’t sound like the C7Z is in full attack mode, but we hear this was a ‘test’ as it was raining earlier in the day at the track.

Rumors are also circulating the new Z has broken it’s front splitter, and the :25 mark in the video seems to confirm that. Enjoy the LT4 exhaust note!

Toxicology reports that were released today show that Kevin Ward Jr., was high of marijuana on the night he was struck and killed by a Sprint Cup NASCAR driver Tony Stewart, Ontario County District Attorney Michael Tantillo was quoted Wednesday.

At a news conference to announce that a grand jury had refused to indict Stewart in Ward’s death, Tantillo said the level of marijuana in Kevin Ward’s system was “enough to impair judgment”. In other words, Kevin Ward was getting stoned out of his mind prior to the race starting. This is absolutely terrifying consider the high horsepower and light weight of these sprint cars.

Later Wednesday, the Ward family indicated it was not satisfied with the decision to clear Stewart and said it will “pursue all remedies in fairness to Kevin.” Most likely this will come in the form of a civil lawsuit.

Kevin Ward Jr. gestured at Stewart’s car as he walked down the banking of Canandaigua Motorsports Park under caution during an Aug. 9 race. He was killed of blunt force trauma from the impact with Stewart’s car.

Tantillo said there were two charges submitted for consideration by the grand jury against Stewart: manslaughter in the second degree and criminally negligent homicide. He said neither received the necessary votes from thegrand jury to charge Tony Stewart. The grand jury heard the evidence and deliberated over three days.

Drag race ends with dude hanging out of the windshield, and he walks away

That was one sweet Chevy.

This drag racer over corrects at Pikes Peak International Raceway yesterday, and his Chevy and barrel rolls down the dragstrip. The car ends up on all four wheels, but the driver is partially ejected out the windshield. The guy climbs out of the car like a boss, and is seemingly uninjured. Always wear your seatbelt!

Tesla Continues To Innovate: Model S Now Raises The Suspension Based On Your GPS Location

Tesla has released a new software update for their Model S. Yes, you can apply software updates to your Tesla just like Apple releases new iOS updates for their iPhones and iPads, or how Android updates their smartphones.

And this new Tesla software update isn’t just to fix any bugs with the car, it also adds new features. Welcome to the future, everybody.

The new software update, 6.0 includes a plethora of new features – including a location-based air suspension setting that actually remembers whenever you need additional ground clearance. The software actually lifts the car automatically.

The way it works is the car stores the location whenever the driver raises the Model S, and then the car automatically brings it up to level the next time the car reaches that destination. This is great for people with steep driveways.

The update also includes new traffic-based navigation and uses real-time data from traffic sensors and other Tesla drivers to offer more accurate travel time estimates and the ability to update navigation routes to a destination, if a quicker route is available.

Also included is a new remote start function that lets the owner of the Model S start the car through the Tesla mobile app. This is designed for drivers who forget their key fob. This great for owners who forget their key fobb, you can just enter a password in the app and start the car. If the security is solid, you may not even need a key fob for Tesla anymore.

Nissan GT-R takes on Yamaha R1, GSX-R 1000 liter bikes, flat out

Amazing what can happen when you have a car that is launched almost entirely by computers. Just press your foot down and go, it will do all the dirty work. Regardless, the GT-R is a machine that we envy, and it is impressive in so many ways.

In the video above – it takes on two liter bikes – and just flat outruns them. Granted, the bikes don’t get the best launches, but the GT-R just overpowers them. Pretty amazing video with a pretty amazing car.

Here is the famous 1970 Charger from the Fast & Furious movies

We have never had a movie car make an impression on us quite like Vin’s 1970 Charger from the first Fast & Furious movie. It was big, mean, loud. It was perfect. It was Mopar.

That movie came out in 2001. 13 years later, we are still saving our pennies to build our own black ’69 or ’70 Charger. But until we do, we have videos like above to keep us motivated for the build. We hope you enjoy hearing this Mopar run through the RPM’s as much as we do.

Source: Hellcat Dyno’d all the way up 825 HP, but had to be de-tuned due to emissions issues

Owners of the new Challenger Hellcat are quickly realizing that their Mopar earth-rotators are actually making a bit more horsepower than advertised. Most real-world dynos are showing the new Hellcat to make closer to 680 RWHP, would would put the crank horsepower out over 720. This isn’t a huge surprise, though – as Mopar has had tricks up it’s sleeve since the original 426 Hemi. Some of those original Hemis were dyno’d at well over 500HP, but we digress.

Point being, is it appears that the SRT team was originally shooting for a much higher number than ‘707’. Sources from Chrysler have mentioned that Chrysler was ultimately hitting the ‘825 HP’ mark, but had to de-tune the motor because the immense power was burning out the catalytic converters. Thats just badass.
