Your Ultimate Car Maintenance Checklist: Keep It Pristine

0

Pre-owned vehiclesIf you love your car (or cars) like we love ours – then keeping them in perfect working condition should be one of your top priorities, specially if you have pre-owned vehicles or imported cars.

Maintenance of Pre-Owned Vehicles

You own a used car or planning to buy one? Be aware that pre-owned vehicles do require a bit more attention than new cars. Washing and waxing your car on a regular basis is just one example, as it will help protect it from corrosion. Also the interior of a used car needs extra care and regular cleaning, to prevent wear-and-tear.

Here are some more tips to maintain your Pre-owned vehicle:

  • Change and Check your Engine Oil: Changing the oil of your car engine is mandatory. When your car is due for a change will depend on your car’s condition and milage. It’s also advised to regularly check your engine oil every 2-3 weeks, to make sure there’s no leak. Just be sure to check the oil when the engine is off.
  • Maintain your Engine Fluids: Almost all cars have markings in the radiator – showing the required fluid level. Always keep the fluid level between these measurement markings, but…Be Ware! Never open the radiator cap when your engine is on or still hot! Remember to always allow your car to cool down for a while, before you open the radiator cap. c vehicle, checking the transmutation fluid is much like checking the oil. However, to get the most accurate reading, it is best to have the engine warm.
  • Check your Power Steering and Brake Fluids: Both the power steering and brakes of your car have oil fluids that need to be checked regularly.
  • Check your Tires: Want your tires to last long in pristine condition? Make it a habit to check tire balancing, rotations, wheel alignment, and of course the air pressure – which is specially important during cold weather or before long road trips.
  • Check your Timing Belt: If this belt goes defect – then so does your entire used car. Its probably the most important part of your car’s engine. You will need to change your timing belt anywhere between 60,000 to 90,000 miles, depending on your car’s model, year and how it was used.
  • Get your Car Checked by Pros: If you want to keep your used car for many years to come, have it checked for regular tune-ups by a professional. It’s not just to keep your car well maintained for the long run – but to ensure your safety and the others around you.

Maintenance of Imported Cars

You just bought an expensive imported car? Or you plan to import a car? Then you better read along.

Like with any other car, it’s crucial to have your imported car serviced and maintained regularly. By that I mean the above mentioned Services like having your oil changed regularly, checking your car fluids, your brakes etc. However, that’s not always enough for imported cars.

Driving a luxury imported car is a wonderful experience, but it requires a few extra maintenance habits you should follow. Here are a few:

  • Buy Only Genuine OEM Spare Parts: You might be tempted to buy cheaper (usually China-made) spare parts, but if you wish to preserve and extend the life of your imported car, and even enhance its performance – I recommend sticking to Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) spare parts.
  • Select a Mechanic With Experience in Imported Cars: Imported cars are usually designed and built a bit differently than domestic cars, so specific knowledge and tools are sometimes required. Also, a mechanic who does not have that experience in imported cars might not identify common issues related to these luxury cars. So as you choose your auto repair shop where you plan to have your regular maintenance, ensure the place has valid experience in working with imported cars.
  • Follow the Manufacturer’s Guidelines: This is always a good tip to follow, but with imported cars it’s much more important. Every car manufacturer has his own guidelines for their advised maintenance procedures and schedule. These usually include guidelines for safety measures to follow, parts replacement schedules, how to use advanced features, etc. Since repairing imported cars can be much more costly, following these guidelines may help you avoid very expensive problems in the future.

You feel ready to maintain your new or future car?

Go ahead and fulfill your dream…:)

Buying a new car takes an awful lot of consideration, what make and model? How you will use the car? New or Used? What size? And of course, how much are you willing to spend. Generally speaking most people will look to get the most out of what money they have, erring on the side of caution when it comes to how much they are willing to spend. In recent years however we have seen luxury cars become a lot more popular, with more people splashing out to get a high end car. This may sound like something that you don’t want to do when you buy your next car, but a luxury model does come with a great many benefits that make it worthwhile, let’s take a look.

Warranties and Covers

Car dealerships love it when you buy their luxury models and as a result of that you will be offered a great number of additional warranty plans, and individual covers for various parts of the car. In many cases this can actually save you money going forward, as should anything tho wrong with the vehicle in those first 5 or 10 years, you will not have to spend a penny getting it sorted out.

Economy

Unless you are investing in a sports car, you will find that the more luxurious models of cars are actually very economical. The reason behind this is that they have cutting edge technology which significantly reduces how much gas the car uses. Eco friendly cars are very much in fashion right now and it is for this reason that car manufacturers are creating high end models which fall under the ‘green’ banner. Once again this could save you a great deal of money in the future.

In the same way that a luxury model will have extra features which make it more economical, they will also have the very highest standard fo safety features. These days luxury cars have airbags all through the car, they have highly tested and super safe crumple zones, and they also have a number of automatic controls and alerts which can ultimately ensure that you are going to be far safer on the road. If you have a family then a luxury car would be a great choice to make sure that should the worst occur, everyone says as safe as possible.

Social Standing

It may sound a little vacuous to some, but when you drive somewhere in a laxity vehicle, people will turn their heads and look, and your friends and family will be incredibly impressed. Social standing is important to many and you can guarantee that if you are deriving a luxury model, that your social standing will be greatly enhanced.

Think about investing a little heavier the next time that you purchase a car, and go for the luxury model.

The 2015 Ford Mustang is another remarkable member of the strong Mustang family that is known for being classy, elegant and sturdy on the road. The 2015 Ford doesn’t seem very different on the exterior than it predecessors, but this super car is packed with a lot of new features that makes it new and appealing to all Mustang lovers.

Power Specs of the 2015 Ford Mustang

The original V6 3.7 liter strong engine is powerful enough to get this beast roaring on the road. It gives more than 300 hp according to Ford which makes this car the best and the most reliable. Other versions that offer the V8 improved engine will provide horse power that would reach 420. The 2.3 liter EcoBoost 4 cylinder engine would also perform in a way that would ensure that this car maintains its reputation as one of the most remarkable modern sport cars on the road.

The 2015 Mustang driving Experience

For a fairly heavy car like the Mustang, the acceleration from 0 to 60 miles in 5 seconds seems good enough for the lovers of this sports beast. The car looks good on the road and the driving mode can be shifted to Sport once you start driving on less comfortable terrains and roads. The independent rear and front suspension will make this car stable on the road, even for European drivers who always complained about how American cars don’t excel at this area.

Retro Style Interior Design

The retro inspired look of the console is accentuated by modern metal accessories and trim that would make this car elegant and would still maintain its famous retro style. With 50 years of history behind this particular car, the manufacturers made sure that the 2015 would take the new car to new global markets.

The interior console features toggle switches for different switches for drivers who have enough with touch screens. The interior is also wide enough for bigger drivers with clear visibility thanks to the long hood of the car. The front seats are comfortable and power adjustable while the back seats are too small for adult passengers.

Improved Safety Features

The 2015 Ford Mustang has some improvements to its electrical system that allowed the car to add features like the blind spot warning and the forward collision alert that would make the car super safe to drive. In addition to the traditional air bags, the car features extra knee airbags that would further protect the front seat passenger.

Why do people love the 2015 Ford Mustang?

Before the introduction of the 2015, people were skeptical about the introduction of the new model, but there are a lot of reasons why we think that this car is impossible not to love:

  1. Fuel economy: Although most performance and muscle car lovers would pay less attention to fuel economy, the truth is that in modern times, this has become a necessity. With fuel prices always on the rise and a lot of financial obligations to deal with, finding a fuel economy car has become a must. Thanks to the EcoBoost version, buyers are able to get more fuel efficiency than most other performance car lovers.
  2. Improved performance: in addition to a stronger engine, the new chassis and suspension refinements make the car lighter and stronger. The different engine versions all provide enough horse power to keep this car going on the road.
  3. The improved design: Most of the changes are found in the front end and the rear end which make the car look exceptionally new and modern with the same old performance inspired design. The LED taillights are great to make the car look modern and new. Together with the new fastback design, they make this car a new master piece.

How successful was the 2015 Ford Mustang?

The 2015 Ford Mustang continued to surpass its older family members’ success with more than 122,000 cars sold in the USA and about 7000 cars sold in Canada making it one of the top ranking sports cars that would appeal for customers who want to buy performance and style.

What are the pros and cons of the 2015 Mustang?

The pros:

  • Wide engine options.
  • Improved new rear suspension that provides better ride dynamics and handling.
  • More refined and elegant interior.

The cons:

  • The back seat is too small, but not something that we would care that much about in sports performance cars.

Final opinion:

We believe that the 2015 Ford Mustang is a great sports car that combines elegance with performance. The roofline is elegant and the rear end has been redesigned to be more appealing. The V8 model is as muscular as can be while the EcoBoost version is designed to provide economy fuel consumption. While the car is not exceptionally huge, we feel that it is big enough to suit different drivers and to make them comfortable on the road.

Fun Facts about the Ferrari America Series

Ferrari America series
The mighty 342

Nowadays, whenever you hear the word Ferrari, you think elegance, class, and prestige. As a car enthusiast, I believe Ferrari’s are the epitome of a sexy car. Ferrari’s only have their prestige now because of the reputation they gained from previous, less elegant models. A key example of this is the Ferrari America series, which is a collection of high end Ferrari’s that were produced in the 1950’s and 1960’s. This specific Ferrari series came out at a time when the interest of Ferrari’s was rapidly growing. This interest lead to some concerns about whether or not the Ferrari could become more flexible, simply because the motors inside these cars were extremely powerful, but didn’t offer themselves to customization at all.

342 America

The first installation was the 342 America. The 342 satisfied many people who critiqued Ferrari’s flexibility. The 342 had many different aspects compared to previous types of Ferrari’s. It was a four-seater, had a much more flexible engine, synchronized 4-speed gear box and better overall handling.

Fun fact, the 340 and 342 models were the first Ferrari road cars to have a Aurelio Lampredi-designed engines.

I believe that the classic Ferrari America series is a beautiful car, and a true testament to how amazing both cars have become and how amazing the human mind is. The great thing about the 342 America was that it was more accommodating to road drivers, while at the same time still keeping its beautiful aesthetics.

Different Models

The 342 was an amazing car with a fantastic design. It was possibly the most revolutionary and set the stage for the next Ferrari’s in the collection. An example of some of the cars that followed are the 410 Superamerica, the 500 Superfast, and the 365 California. It is interesting to note that all of these cars had different engines, with each one being better than the next. All of the Ferrari America series had the engines in the front also.

Watch this clip about the 342:

How do these Cars link to other Ferrari’s Today

The Ferrari America series changed the way people perceived Ferrari’s. It made Ferrari’s much more attractive to road users, which in turn helped the company make much more money. In this day and age, Ferrari’s such as the Ferrari 450, Ferrari 480 and the Ferrari concept are amazing cars because the models that came before them were perfect concepts. The Ferrari’s you see today are amazing because of the Ferrari’s that were made in the past.

Porsche 959: Is it Really Better than the Porsche 911?

While the Porsche 911 is probably the most successful model from Porsche, no one should say that it is better than the 959. In technical department, maybe the Porsche 911 is better, but a car is also about its story, importance, and historical value to the company. Porsche 959 came into existence in 1986. At that time, it was the fastest and most technologically advanced production car in the world. Under the hood, it carried 2.8-liter flat-6 turbocharged engine developing 444 horse power. On the technology aspect, it introduced a lot of new things at that time for example tire pressure sensor, adjustable suspension, and a sophisticated 4-wheel drive system with which you could manually adjust power deliveries to the four wheels. With a top speed of 197 miles per hour, it is a fast advanced car even by today’s standards. Only about a year after Porsche 959 had been introduced, Ferrari responded with the F40 which reached 201 miles per hour top speed.

Porsche 911
Probably the most successful Porsche ever…

There were only 345 of this car made; and 29 of them were the Sport models that came with roll cage. The remaining models were called “Komfort” versions. When the 959 Porsche was still in production, the asking price was around £150,000, but it actually did cost Porsche £300,000 to make. So for every Porsche 959 that left the dealership, they lost 50% of the investment. This was most likely the reason Porsche only made a limited amount. Richard Hammond said, “… I’ve owned 911s from this period, and this thing (959) just feels so much more.” Some other big names who could afford it included Don Johnson, Boris Becker, and Bill Gates.

Porsche 959
The Porsche 959

While we’re on the subject of Billy Microsoft, who bought his Porsche 959 in 1986, he and his car had a little bit of rough history. Prior to 1999 when the “Show and Display” law was passed, the car was not street legal in the United States. During development, Porsche refused to provide a model for the U.S. Department of Transportation for crash-testing purposes, and therefore the National Highway Traffic Safety could not give the car the safety certification. Bill Gates helped pass the Show and Display law, but it took long, around 13 years for him to legally drive the car he bought more than a decade earlier. Before the law was passed, Gates’ Porsche 959 was stored by Customs Service at the Port of San Francisco. What a story.

Most 959 Porsche are stored in collectors garages, but once in a while a few come out to the market. The most recent one was sold at RM Sotheby’s Paris Auction last February for more than $2 million, a new sales record for the model.

Reviewing The Powerful 2016 Ford Mustang

0

[embedyt] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgsDLMq7jOA[/embedyt]

The 2016 Ford Mustang comes from a great family that has always provided great exciting supercars for all auto lovers out there. The Ford Mustang models are extremely reliable and of very high quality, and this enabled this power brand to become so damn popular around the world.

A bit of History

The Ford Mustang was actually based on a previous model, the Ford Falcon. The first Mustang had 2 seats and was introduced back in 1962, but was later followed by a very cool 4 seat model that was introduced in 1963. The Mustang has since gone through a lot of modifications and adjustments until it reached the current 6th generation.

Where did the name come from? Well, the powerful name was inspired by a book called The Mustangs, which was given to a designer by his wife who shared his love for horses. There were other names considered in the early marketing campaigns like Torino or Cougar. But Mustang was finally the name that won the competition, because it encompassed a lot in it, including durability, reliability and extreme power.

How did the model evolve over the years?

The first Mustangs were made from familiar and simple components that were already used by other models and this made the car quite affordable. This also made the workers able to work and assemble the car more effectively. In the first year more than 100,000 cars were sold with about 1 million cars manufactured in the first 18 months!

Which upgrades did the 2016 Mustang get?

Over the next years after the initial launch, the Ford Mustang became bigger but not necessarily powerful. The models became more aggressive and heavier with different additions to the motor and the internal parts of the engine. A lot happened until the Mustang reached the state in which it is today.

2016 Ford MustangThe 2016 Ford Mustang Body

This supercar body is made of unitized welded steel with an aluminum hood and front fenders that make this pretty beast durable and light. The car is offered in a soft-top convertible or a coupe model, and in 5 different engine variations; EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, V6, GT and GT premium.

The 2016 Ford Mustang Technical specs

The Ford Mustang Engine comes in five different variations. The 3.7 liter V6 has four valves per cylinder where the rods are made from forged steel for extremely high and steady performance. The ignition is distributor-less with coil on plug, making the ignition fast and reliable. It has a 16 gallons fuel capacity that is delivered by sequential multiport electronic mode. The four wheel power disc brakes will allow you to properly control the car even on the toughest roads with an antilock braking system. The EcoBoost model adds a turbocharged engine and six way power passenger seats. This Mustang’s wheels are even bigger at 19 inches. The EcoBoost premium adds heated mirrors and a rear diffuser with heated and ventilated front seats and beautiful leather upholstery.

The supercar overview

This Mustang continues to demonstrate its amazing success as a muscle car that is globally famous and admired. It might not be a real classy car but it is durable and powerful, and no matter what – everyone takes notice of this sturdy Mustang. The MyFord information interface has been further refined and improved in the 2016 Ford Mustang making it super easy and convenient to use with an improved touch screen that will make it easier and faster to use.

The powerful engine allows the car to exceptionally accelerate in a smooth manner that is expected from a real Mustang. The metal like and aluminum accessories add to the elegance of this strong muscular car.

Driving the Mustang

This supercar has a rearview camera that allows you to see while parking and driving. It ensures that all blind spots are covered with a special blind spot alert. The front seat airbags will keep the passengers safe upon collision, which we don’t recommend…:-) Although this Mustang earned 5 stars rating on different crash collision tests.

The keyless entry and ignition is offered in all models and variations of the car. The steering wheel can be adjusted in all models so that drivers can get comfortable enough to focus on the road. The cabin of the car is fairly isolated for no noise on the highway when you choose to really travel long distance with your 2016 Ford Mustang.

2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon: Quickest Car in the World

[embedyt] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzVKPK0cj_g[/embedyt]

With a certified 0-60 mph time of 2.3 seconds, and a quarter-mile time of 9.65 seconds at 140 mph, this new 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is hereby pronounced the quickest car on the planet.

The new Dodge Challenger is equipped with a V8 that can produce up to 840 HP and 770 pound-feet of torque. It’s definitely the most powerful American car ever.

Spectators claim that the Challenger Demon takes off like a missile.

Dodge topped even it’s own crazy records with this beast, which has 40 horsepower more than the most powerful Ferrari. The brilliant designers of this supercar updated more than half of its parts and added an amazing array of high-tech and production-first features.

The new Dodge Challenger has strengthened rods, pistons and valve train, twin dual-stage fuel pumps, a larger displacement 2.7-liter supercharger, and the largest hood scoops ever used on a super car: a 45.2 square inch intake, which they call the Air-Grabber.

Dodge ChallengerThe super powers this car produces is delivered to the rear wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission, which has been re-engineered to handle the torque, a much stronger drive shaft, a beefed-up rear axle and a set of larger half shafts.

On top of that, Dodge took off 200 pounds off the new Demon (compared to the Challenger Hellcat), mainly by ripping out some carpeting and sound insulation, speakers and all the seats except for the driver’s. This makes the Demon the first single-seat production car ever sold by a major automaker. If you do want to drive with a friend – you can get a passenger seat and rear bench for $1 each.

Dodge made quite a show to unveil this beasty supercar. It used explosions, burnouts and even brought Fast and Furious star Vin Diesel for the show.

The new 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon will be available in the fall, but we still don’t have any data from regarding the price or how many Demons will be produced, but we are quite sure that every single one of them will be sold.

The new Ferrari 812 Superfast was just unveiled in the latest Geneva International Motor Show. This car is a cool mix of the old traditional and the new young technology age.

The old comes in the form of the inspiration, and this new supercar is said to be based on the Ferrari Daytone, better known as the Ferrari 365 GTB/4. This oldie was a two-seat grand tourer with a Colombo V12 bored out to 4.4L, produced by Ferrari from 1968 to 1973.

Ferrari 812 SuperfastFerrari’s engineers tweaked this new 812 Superfast, specially the intake and combustion system, to maximize the amout of air flow into the engine, which by chance also set a record of 588 kw at 8,500 rpm.
