
Yea, we have posted some other slow motion NHRA videos before, but this new promotional video from the Auto Club finals in November has us mesmerized. Sure we have all seen those massive Top Fuel tires crinkle up into a pretzel at the start line, but have you ever seen it in super super slow motion with these high speed cameras?
Pretty amazing footage, and some would argue that Nitro drag racers are the last American heroes. Keep in mind that in an NHRA Funny Car, the 10,000+ HP supercharged nitro motor is sitting just 18″ in front of the driver, and those engines explode about 20% of the time that they race – and a driver will race a dozen times or so in a weekend. You do the math. We salute you, nitro drag racers.
