The Viper was obsolete a few weeks ago, and now the Mopar Snake is a superstar again – thanks to a recent video showing it walk a brand new C7 Z06 on the freeway. The bottom line is, the new Viper continues to impress. We love that they are taking a steamy dump on all the cars coming out that everyone thought would be unbeatable.

As for it beating the C7Z, even though the new Z06 weights 35xx lbs or so, we wouldn’t say its a disappointing car. GM just needs to get the bugs worked out. The early edition C6 Z06 did not have awesome lap times until the second half of it’s production run – but we digress.

Back to the video above. The owner of the Viper said he did not lift in any of the races when shifting his Viper. Aw, the benefits of a direct mounted shifter and no fear.
