Stock Charger Hellcat takes on modified BMW E39 M5, with a surprising result

Has the Charger Hellcat met it’s match? Did it take a E39 M5 – with a S52 3.2L Turbo Swap – to finally outrun the almighty Charger Hellcat? Check out this fresh video and see for yourself.

A BMW 135i, plus a V8 Equals perfection – Fresh video from /TUNED

So, this is the result of stuffing a M-powered V8 under the hood of the tiny 135i. A screaming, German-powered land rocket.

On a personal note, cars are so much more than numbers and raw performance. Having that beautiful V8 singing in the correctly sized BMW chassis (1/2 series) is a thing of beauty.

Enjoy.

High Speed: Porsche 918 chasing Koenigsegg Agera R on German Autobahn at 218 mph

Here is fresh video of a Porsche 918 chasing a Koenigsegg Agera R on theGerman Autobahn at 218 mph….in the rain.

Also, whats the only way you catch a Koeniggsegg? It lets you. Pretty impressive video of two exotic machines doing what they were intended to do.

Hellcat Challenger makes 886HP on E85 (Video)

0

Well, the Hellcat motor certainly has potential – as this video shows – and tuners haven’t even tapped into the ECU’s full potential yet.

In this example, this Challenger Hellcat makes 886HP on a simple E85 tune, and about 753 Horsepower to the rear wheels. Can you imagine this car with a pulley swap, full exhaust and proper tune? We might be just months away from seeing 1000RWHP Hellcat Challengers and Chargers roaming the street.

We just hope these Hellcats don’t spin the earth out of orbit when they accelerate.

Interesting point about these cars: Tuners cannot currently tune the transmission. This is the same issue they had with the NAG1 Transmission.

To this day no one can just jump into the TCM, and that transmission has been around since 2005.

The car shifts around 6,300 RPM’s. That RPM is definitely not flat lined at fuel shut off. So we wouldd like to see 7,000 RPM, but the valvetrain geometry on modern Hemi’s is not really built to handle that from the factory. Simply put, they can’t raise the shift points to say 6,600-6,800 RPM’s to utilize the extra power.

What is most shocking to us is that the 2013/14 5.8L (662HP) GT500 with CAI, Full Exhaust, Pullies, and a tune – put done nearly 100 less RWHP, that this essentially stock Hellcat car did with a E85 tune – on the same dyno! Very impressive:

The 2016 Shelby GT350R is still several months away from production, but today we get our first real glimpse of the corner-carving Mustang, in Black, and it looks incredible.

Fortunately, this Shelby will have the performance to back up it’s menacing looks. Expect some 540+ HP out of all-new Flat Plane Crank 5.2L Motor, and a curb weight of “around 3,550 lbs” – thanks to revolutionary light-weight Carbon Fiber wheels, and liberal use of carbon composite materials throughout the car.

We have covered this car extensively in the past, so if you want to read more about the specs, pricing and weight of this car, head on over to some of our other GT350R articles.

A Charger Hellcat is for sale on eBay right now for $300,000

hellcat

The Hellcat phenomenon is alive and strong. In fact, Dodge dealerships across the country are back ordered some 2-4 months on Hellcat-equipped Chargers and Hellcats. It just goes to show you that in a world of electric cars, high gas prices and a national identity crisis – that big, fast and expensive muscle cars reign supreme and are still highly desirable.

Case in point, today we see a Dodge Charger Hellcat commanding a price of $300,000. $300,000.. Granted, this particular model has a VIN ending in ‘666’:

Regardless, somebody will come along and think it’s the deal of a lifetime. We don’t care, we are just glad Mopar is producing a 707-HP Monster, despite the opposite flow of direction by a ‘progressive society’. ‘Murica.

Watch the Roadkill guys completely thrash a Charger Hellcat, Viper and Challenger Hellcat

Is Roadkill the new American ‘Top Gear’? We think so.

Roadkill has proven yet once again why they are the best show on the internet. In fact, this episode alone may well be their finest moment.

And for once, they are finally in cars which actually have glass, and yet they still keep the windows rolled down when they are off-roading!

Watch these guys completely thrash a new Charger Hellcat, Challenger Hellcat – and they even off-road the new Viper! Thankfully, we believe these cars are going to be crushed, as they are pre-production prototypes. We hope so, anyways.

Enjoy. We sure did.

Feast your eyes on the ‘Competition Orange’ 2016 Shelby GT350R

We are less than a year away from the 2016 Shelby GT350 (and ‘R’ models) hitting showroom floors. Today we get our first peak of the car in Ford’s ‘Competition Orange’. You can see the car below both with stripes, and without. ‘Competition Orange’ looks great, but we’re not sure the extra Cop attention on the streets will be worth it, especially with that loud exhaust coming from the flat-plane-crank 5.2L. We’d still rock it, though.

Watch this Saleen S7 break the sound barrier

Absolutely breathtaking video of an AWD Saleen S7 on a dyno, pushing some 2,200+ AWHP @ 25PSI. Also makes 1050 ft-lbs torque @ 4000RPM. Dang.

The sound that this monster makes is just insane, but we think it needs a few more straps when it is being dyno’d. Enjoy
