Aw, Nothing embodies the Miami drug wars of the 1980’s quite like the polarizing 512TR Testarossa. Some love it, some hate it. The performance is sub-par compared to the performance machines of today, but there is no denying the timeless and iconic style of the Ferrari Testarossa. Some would even argue that it was the 512TR that put Maranello on the map in the mid-80’s.
Here at HPK, we love the Testarossa. Especially the white one in the Wolf of Wall Street, but we digress.
“Testarossa:Means “red head” in Italian, comes from the red-painted cam covers on the flat-12 engine. The double entendre with a red-headed woman was intentional – Ferrari and Pininfarina regularly use descriptive terms related to a female’s body when describing the style of their automobiles.”
